Dental Implants

Dental implants are a permanent treatment purposed to replace a single tooth or many teeth. The main reason patients look to implants is because they have lost a tooth or teeth because of an injury, or periodontal disease (gum disease).
Our doctors will recommend this treatment if you have good oral health. This means the ideal candidate for this procedure has a strong enough jaw to support an implant. Ideally, a patient should also have healthy gums.
Having a dental implant placed will include having screws placed directly into the jawbone, or into the gums, depending on what your doctor will recommend.
It is important to consult your dentist about this procedure in full detail.
The Dental Implants Process
- STEP 1: Implant Placement
- STEP 2: Osseointegration
- STEP 3: Custom Crown
The process of the dental implants procedure begins with your doctor placing the implant.
Next is the process of Osseointegration (meaning: “combines with bone”). This is part of the healing process in which the bone grows around the implant, making the implant strong and secure.
Finally, once the implant is in place and your doctor feels it is strong enough, a custom crown will be placed. CDI crowns are custom-fitted and custom-colored so that your smile looks perfectly.
